With the launch of bookshop.org in the UK we thought we should take a look at setting up our own page and, as we are now approaching episode 40 of the podcast, we took a moment to look back on some of the guests we have had to date…
Having spoken to everyone from winners of the Nobel prize, Prix Goncourt, Leipziger Buchmesse and Man Booker International prize to debut novelists and short story writers the pod has quite a back catalogue and so we wanted to share some highlights.
bookshop.org is a new competitor to the global book selling behemoth that is Amazon and (hopefully) offers a better alternative to its faceless algorithms. It also promises to support podcasts like this one by paying 10% commission on each sale and gives back to local bookshops by paying a share of profits into a fund for stores, publications, and authors.
As we develop the store we would love to hear your suggestions for new shelves, new titles or authors we should add as future guests.
